Mainduties

Architectural technologists and technicians perform some or all of thefollowing duties:

Assistin the development of architectural designs

Analyzebuilding codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and othertechnical documents and reports

Preparemanual and CAD (computer-assisted design) drawings, specifications, costestimates and listings of quantities of material from conceptual drawings andinstructions

Constructarchitectural and display models, and 3-D virtual models of architecturaldesigns

Preparecontract and bidding documents

Maysupervise drafters, technicians and technologists on the architectural team

Maysupervise construction projects and co-ordinate, monitor and inspect work doneby others.
