Insuranceagents and brokers sell life, automobile, property, health and other types ofinsurance to individuals, businesses and public institutions. Insurance agentsare employed by individual insurance companies or are independentrepresentatives of specific insurance companies. Insurance brokers are employedby brokerage firms, or may work in partnerships or hold sole proprietorship.Supervisors of insurance agents are included in this unit group.

--确保客户完成恰当的表格、医疗检查和其他政策要求；

Mainduties
Insurance agents and brokers perform some or all of the following duties:
Sellautomobile, fire, health, life, property, marine, aircraft and other types ofinsurance to clients
Establishclient insurance coverage, calculate premiums and establish method of payment
Provideinformation concerning group and individual insurance packages, the range ofrisk coverage, benefits paid and other policy features
Ensureappropriate forms, medical examinations and other policy requirements arecompleted
Monitorinsurance claims and respond to clients' enquiries
Identifyand solicit potential clientele.

Completionof educational programs through the Insurance Institute of Canada or itsprovincial counterpart entitles agents to professional recognition as anAssociate of the Insurance Institute of Canada (A.I.I.C.) or Fellow of theInsurance Institute of Canada (F.I.I.C.).
Completionof educational courses through the Canadian Association of Insurance andFinancial Advisors allows for various levels of professional designations forinsurance and financial advisors.
