Mainduties
Civil engineering technologists perform some or all of the following duties:
Developengineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts and sketches
Prepareconstruction specifications, cost and material estimates, project schedules andreports
Superviseor conduct field surveys, inspections or technical investigations oftopography, soils, drainage and water supply systems, road and highway systems,buildings and structures to provide data for engineering projects
Conductor supervise inspection and testing of construction materials
Maysupervise, monitor and inspect construction projects.
Civil engineering technicians perform some or all of the following duties:
Assistin developing engineering specifications and drawings
Participatein field surveys, inspections or technical investigations of topography, soils,drainage and water supply systems, road and highway systems, buildings andstructures to provide data for engineering projects
Performother technical functions in support of civil engineering activities.
